Late summer has been kindly to Shropshire and August a brilliant month for photographing weddings. Had a fantastic day’s shoot on Saturday the 11th of August and was really happy to be back at Walcot Hall, Lydbury North. Alex and Mary and their families and friends made full use of the Hall’s stunning facilities and gardens, and Maria and the Walcot team were at their usual brilliant best. Added to this the weather was near perfect lending itself to a relaxed day full of memories to capture at leisure. Tomorrow promises to be another rewarding day. Leah and Adrian have chosen the Mill at Alveley to host their ceremony and reception and once again the elements seem set to provide plenty of sun and the chance for guests to enjoy the Mill’s gardens and terrace. Links to Galleries for these weddings will appear here shortly.
Extremely touched to be invited to the baptism of Anita & Jerry’s second baby, Hari at St Neot’s in August.
As luck would have it I am already engaged to shoot a wedding at Walcot Hall (the selfsame venue were Anita & Jerry held their nuptial celebrations in 2005) so won’t be able to make the happy event.
Will be thinking of you all and revisiting some treasured memories at Lydbury North on the 18th, chaps. Hope to catch up with you before 2012 is out
The weather is still abysmal out, so much for a summer of shooting local beauty spots and historical sites. Positive side to this is turning mind and hand to indoor matters: spent an enjoyable morning creating a portrait sample Photo Book featuring Jerry and Anita’s first bump, and Mark, Lucy and Lily atop the Long Mynd. Now have to wait three days for delivery before I can determine whether to incorporate these books into wedding pricing as “recession-busting” options.
Prep test for updates via FBook in coming weeks
80 page album pasted up and in the press for curing, rain falling by the bucket load – c’mon weekend, c’mon!
Friday and Saturday were lost to a bout of D and V virus which swept through the household, feeling much better this morning and am looking forward to a productive week (at least once I have satisfied the pleas of an empty belly!)
